John van Bockxmeer- Remote Emergency Doctor WA Country Health
John is a remote emergency doctor who is passionate about creating healthier communities. John has achieved excellence in the fields of medicine and community development with research into sepsis, paediatric toxicology and disaster management. John currently works as a fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote medicine in Port Hedland and at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth. John has founded numerous initiatives including the Red Party HIV education and fundraising event, FuturePerth and Fair Game, an organisation inspiring healthy communities through recycled sports equipment. John is on the board of volunteering WA was born and educated in Perth. John has been named the Young Australian of the Year and Junior Doctor of the Year for WA and the national Primary Health Leader of the year.
